You Are the Hero: How to Find Yourself in Your Own Story

This course is for anyone who is looking to strengthen their relationship with and knowledge of themselves during these uncertain times.
Maybe your kids are soon to graduate high school and you’re preparing to face your empty nest – who will you find looking back at you in the mirror once your fledglings have flown away?
Or maybe you’re finding that your job or career, which once gave you purpose and meaning, no longer makes sense to you.
Perhaps you’re simply looking for more steadiness during these chaotic times – getting to know the truth of who we are, getting familiar with our essence, is one of the strongest anchors we can hold onto as we navigate life in 2026 and beyond.
This three-part course will help you discover or refine your own story and self-mythology, and make meaning out of your own journey.
In Session 1, we will help you understand the stories you tell yourself, the stories imposed upon us by others, and the role you play in your own journey of self-discovery. Using methodologies such as Joseph Campbell’s “Hero's Journey,” as well as ancient mythology, other human storytelling, and your own intuitive guidance, we will help you explore who you have been, who you are now, and who you are becoming. And perhaps most importantly, you will discover how to both tell and transform your very own hero's journey.
In Sessions 2 and 3, we will go deeper on transforming and working with our stories. We will discover what the stories humans have told for millennia have to tell us today, and the archetypes that live on and continue to shape our stories and lives. We will stretch time and look both backwards and forwards to gain insight and wisdom from those who came before us, and those who will follow in our footsteps. We will put it all together to write our own stories anew, informed by human history and our own personal and ancestral histories.
The first session in this course is offered as a stand-alone, if you’re unable to join for all three.
